Genesis 1:24-26
24 And God said, “Let the land
produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures
that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.”
And it was so.
25 God made the wild
animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and
all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God
saw that it was good.
26 Then God
said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule
over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all
the wild animals, and
over all the creatures that move along the ground.”
Matthew 2:1-4
1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in
Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem
2 and
asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star
when it rose and have come to worship him.”
3 When King Herod heard this he
was disturbed, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 When he had called together all the people’s chief
priests and teachers of the law, he asked them where the Messiah was to be born.
